Anonymous accounts & Monero

You can use ozeye without giving us your name, your email address or a card. An anonymous account is an account number and a password; Monero pays for it. The API, the models, the prices and the zero-retention routing are exactly the same as on any other account.

No email

You sign up with a generated account number like oz-7k2m-q9xd-4hpe and a password. Nothing else is asked.

No card

Top up with Monero from your own wallet. Our payment software is self-hosted; no payment company sees the payment.

No content

Prompts and responses are never stored, on any account. IP addresses are not stored either.

1. Create the account

  1. Open Create anonymous account.
  2. Copy the account number shown to you and store it in a password manager. Choose a password.
  3. Tick that you saved the number and create the account. You are signed in straight away; there is no email to confirm.
There is no recovery. Without an email address we have no way to prove a lost account number is yours, so a lost number or password means a lost balance. Keep both in a password manager.

2. Top up with Monero

  1. Go to Dashboard → Billing and set a billing country (the form needs one; see VAT below).
  2. Choose an amount between €5 and €1000, select Monero and confirm the payment instructions.
  3. You get a one-time address, the exact XMR amount and a QR code. The amount is fixed for 60 minutes.
  4. Send exactly that amount from your wallet in one transaction, with a normal fee.
  5. The page updates by itself: first detected when the transaction appears, then paid once it is confirmed on the Monero network, usually within minutes and at most about 30. Credits are on your balance at that moment.
  • Use each address once. A second payment to an old address is not credited automatically.
  • Paid too little or after the 60 minutes? The payment is not credited automatically, but the funds are not lost: email support@ozeye.ai with your account number and the payment id and we credit it by hand after checking the transaction.
  • Monero top-ups cannot be refunded to a wallet; there is no return address on a Monero payment.
  • The XMR amount comes from the EUR rate on CoinGecko and Kraken when you create the invoice, plus a 2% margin for rate movement during the 60 minutes. The euro amount credited is always the one you chose.

3. Create an API key

In Dashboard → API keys, create a key and use it like any other ozeye key. From then on you can also create Monero invoices by API:

curl https://ozeye.ai/v1/account/topup/monero \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OZEYE_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"amount":"10.00","terms_accepted":true,"immediate_start":true}'
{
  "payment_id": "payment_uuid",
  "provider": "bitcart",
  "amount_eur": "10.00",
  "vat_eur": "2.10",
  "total_eur": "12.10",
  "status": "open",
  "crypto_currency": "XMR",
  "crypto_amount": "0.041234567890",
  "crypto_address": "4…",
  "crypto_expires_at": "2026-10-15T13:00:00Z",
  "crypto_rate_eur": "293.45",
  "crypto_rate_source": "coingecko,kraken"
}

Pay crypto_amount to crypto_address before crypto_expires_at. Poll GET /v1/account/payments to see the status move from open to detected to paid.

What we know about an anonymous account

  • The account number and a bcrypt hash of the password.
  • Your balance, your API keys and usage metadata per request: time, model, provider, token counts, latency and cost. Never the prompt or the response.
  • For each top-up: the one-time address, the XMR amount, the exchange rate and the transaction hashes, kept with the invoice for 7 years because Dutch tax law requires it.
  • Not your name, email, IP address, location or wallet balance. Chat history from the web app and the mobile apps stays in your browser or on your phone.

The full list is in the privacy policy and the retention windows are in Data retention. The provider that serves a request processes its content under its own terms; subprocessors lists what each one retains.

VAT

We collect no location evidence on the Monero rail, so a consumer top-up is treated as a Dutch sale and includes 21% Dutch VAT whatever country you enter. A business with a VIES-verified EU VAT number is reverse-charged as usual, but entering a VAT number ties the account to that business. Outside the EU and want 0% VAT? Card payments use the card country as evidence instead.

Signing in and deleting

  • Sign in with the account number in the email field, on the web or in the ozeye apps.
  • To use a GDPR right (access, export, deletion) without an email address, write to privacy@ozeye.ai and prove control of the account, for example with an API key prefix shown in your dashboard.
  • You can delete the account yourself in the dashboard settings. Invoices stay for the 7-year fiscal period; everything else goes.
